Hamilton has solidified itself as a legendary watch brand with a rich history in American dynamism. Founded in Pennsylvania in 1892, Hamilton became an icon of American aviation, military, and film history over the last 130 years. Most notably, Hamilton supplied over 1 million field watches to the U.S. military during WWII, thanks to the rugged quality and precision of their timepieces. The iconic Khaki Field draws from this inspiration, and is the watch that I wear every day. Despite being Swiss-made, it's a requisite addition to the Unslop collection for its timeless quality and deep American roots.
38 mm stainless steel case, three hand display, dark dial with light-colored numerals, triangular indexes with old radium color Super-LumiNova®, durable NATO strap: The new Khaki Field Mechanical is a faithful recreation of its original 1960s forebear and is true to Hamilton’s military heritage. The original soldier’s watch now features Hamilton’s unique ‘Earth’ colored PVD case coating. This Hamilton leather strap is made from natural materials. The leather is tanned, but has not been treated, pigmented and finished in the same way as some other leather straps. This helps it to retain its natural look and also means that every piece is not exactly the same.
